I wonder what is wrong with our President, whether he has some kind of inferiority complex about his position, because it is strange that a man who has been elected as President, and who has been duly sworn in as President, would keep going on with claims that he is the President of Ghana.
Of course Professor Atta Mills is the President of Ghana, and the sooner he came to realize that, the better it would be for all of us.
He should stop constantly telling us that he is the President, because if he is still dreaming about his Presidency, the rest of us are not.
We have to live with his Presidency every day, and it is painful, to say the least.
I find it painful, for instance, that the President would tell us that this country is being governed by laws, at a time that the laws are being so abused in our country.
Since this professor of law became the President of this our country, he has said umpteen times that he is committed to the rule of law.
Yet, with amazing and monotonous regularity, the courts of our land have been canceling the actions of our President for being illegal. For a man who believes in constitutionality, it seems that our President has a special and deep dislike for behaving in lawful manner, and this is painful.
It is also painful the way and manner our President keeps on portraying himself as a victim of others.
Our Commander In Chief says that he is being forced to take decisions that are not in the national interest, and he would not be cowed. I wonder who is threatening our President to the level that he has come out in protestation.
I have my own suspicions, and I know you do too, because all of you have been listening to the baying from Ridge.
But is it not strange that the President would tell us that his doors are always open to listen to all his critics, at a time when his close political associates are screaming to the high heavens that he has not been listening to them? If Atta were indeed a listening President, I do not think that Rawlings, Bagbin and co would have come out to state that the President had surrounded himself with sycophants and greedy bastards who have formed a complete bracket around him, totally shielding him from all access by others.
But for me, the most sorrowful aspect of the President’s pronouncements was his claim that plans were far advanced to improve the lot of Ghanaians.
My brothers and sisters, we are in the first year of the Atta Mills Presidency, but already he has presented his first two budgets and so far we have no reason to hope.
Indeed, if the President had any plans, I am sure that he would have rolled them out as soon as he got into office, and not two yeas after, which leaves me with the firm conclusion that the President has no plans to better the lot of Ghanaians.
I am sorry to state that so far, it is clear that the future is bleak for Ghanaians, and they are not going to be comforted by new and empty promises of future prosperity!
Atta Mills is indeed a failure!

NEWMAN GOING OUT, K. AHWOI COMING IN!?
The Chief of Staff, Mr. John Henry Martey Newman, may be on his way out of the Castle, the seat of government, as the Chief of Staff, with his place to be taken by Mr. Kwamena Ahwoi.
Unimpeachable information reaching this blog indicates that plans are far afoot to replace Mr. Newman as the Chief of Staff for the key reason that he is a virtually unknown commodity within National Democratic Congress (NDC) circles, a factor that is causing deep worry among the rank and file of the party.
This blog has learnt that many activists of the NDC are heavily aggrieved with Chief of staff Martey Newman, who they see as an outsider, and have expressed the opinion that they would be more comfortable with Kwamena Ahwoi, with whom they have had longer association.
His place, this blog has learned is to be taken by Mr. Kwamena Ahwoi, one of the all-powerful Ahwoi brothers, who was at one time a Minister for Local Government and currently lectures at the Ghana Institute of Management and Professional Administration (GIMPA).
Mr. Kwamena Ahwoi has been a long-time stalwart of the NDC whose face is known to the rank and file of the party, and who can identify many of them by face as well.
Intel from the Castle, the seat of government indicates that already much of the decisions that matter at the Castle are taken by one of the two senior Ahwoi brothers in the persons of Mr. Ato Ahwoi and his brother Kwamena, and the appointment of Kwamena as Chief of Staff would only be a natural graduation, since he is already taking many of the decisions that matter anyway.
The only fly in the gel, according to insiders, is a current tiff between former President Rawlings and Mr. Kwamena Ahwoi, who are said not to see things eye to eye of late.
In this direction, a prominent chief of the land, who is also a leading member of the NDC and was linked to a ‘pono’ young woman recently has bean reached to mediate amicably between the two gentlemen before the announcement is made anytime within the next few days.
As at press time yesterday, Mr. Ahwoi was not picking his calls in spite of repeated calls to his mobile phone.
Reached for his comments, Mr. Kofi Adams, Spokesperson to former President Rawlings, said that he had no knowledge of any on-going mediation efforts between his boss and Mr. Kwamena Ahwoi and told this reporter to get his ‘boss himself’.

Atta Mills: A Very Divisive Person
Indeed, if ever there has been a person who is a source of divisiveness in our body politic, that person is John Evans Atta Mills, and I would demonstrate why I think so.
Do you remember a certain Member of Parliament called Michael Teye Nyaunu, who told Ghanaians that he had been punished by President Professor Mills and turned into an outcast in the party because he had criticized President Mills as being a sick man when they were in opposition and vying for power?
If you remember, Nyaunu raised the issue of the health status of Professor Atta Mills in the media in the run-up to election 2008 and called upon him to resign as flag bearer of the NDC because according to him Prof. Mills was unwell and unfit for the presidential campaign.
According to Nyaunu, he has never been forgiven for expressing a genuine concern, and the evidence is available in the fact that since the NDC won power, he has been sidelined from all appointments, even though as an MP there are many places he could have served.
I am also certain that you remember Dr. Ekwow Spio Garbrah, who is currently a Vice Chairperson of the NDC and at one time an aspirant for the position of flag bearer of the NDC.
In the run-up to the flagbearership congress of the NDC, it was Spio Garbrah who sent round text messages suggesting that Atta Mills was sick and that it was unlikely that he would be able to lead the NDC into the presidential contest.
In spite of his concerns, Mills went on to win the race, and Spio, as the runner-up to Atta Mills, legitimately expected that he would be given a ministerial position in the NDC.
This expectation never materialized, and in bitterness, Spio penned and published his famous ‘pissing-in and pissing out’ article, which led to huge controversy in this nation, and is indeed still simmering.
It was as a direct consequence of President Atta Mills’ inability to unite with Spio that he eventually decided to vie for the position of Vice Chair of the NDC.
I cannot also dilate on whether or not President Atta Mills is a unifier without spending a little time on the statement that was made by his former Spokesperson, Mahama Ayariga to the effect that the President had ordered all his appointees to ensure that they create space to address the concerns of members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
By that statement, President Atta Mills created two classes of Ghanaians in Ghana, which are the NDC Ghanaian, and the rest of us.
Indeed, nothing can be more divisive than for a president to tell his functionaries to give preferential treatment to his own people to the disadvantage of the rest.
In any proper democracy, such talk would have led to impeachment, and demonstrates clearly that Atta Mills is unfit to be president by temperament.
I also cannot expand on whether or not the President is a unifier, without bringing to mind the decision that was taken by the son of the glutton, Koku Anyidoho, the Director of Communications at the Presidency, to keep out certain journalists because according to him, he cannot deal with them.
Personally, I find Anyidoho and his boss to be a pair of chargeable characters.
The Presidency is for all of us, and personal feelings do no come into it. It is in this direction that Anyidoho’s attempts to create divisions on the media front should be seen as totally unacceptable and the President’s acceptance of same as reprehensible and conflict-ridden.
But why am I complaining? Was it not Mills who said that people in the public services who do not share in the vision and ideology of his party ought not to be in public services? It was Mills himself, the President. With such utterances, how can anybody claim that Mills stands for unity?
Once again I say that when you see Atta Mills, remember one clear fact; he is a man who endorses evil for his own political ends and a source of divisiveness.

Atta Mills: A Very Wicked Person
President Professor John Evans Atta Mills is a very wicked person. He is a wicked man, a man who deliberately and with his eyes wide open, goes about hurting other people.
I have been following the on-going debate over Kosmos Energy and the EO Group, and my conclusion, is that President Atta Mills is not only opaque, but he is also wicked!
This is a man who is very vicious by nature, a man who, in pursuit of his own political pursuits, would be willing to hurt the economy of this country!
Several years ago, former Minister of Energy Mr. Kan Dapaah travelled to the United States to drive up investor support for our then virtually non-existent oil industry. When he got there, Ghana’s embassy in the United States decided to gather some industry players to be addressed by Kan Dapaah.
The man who was charged to gather the industry players was a certain George Owusu, an environmentalist working with Shell International, the oil multi-national.
After successfully organizing the meeting, George Owusu became acquainted to Kan Dapaah and took an interest in assisting some oil companies to come into the nation of Ghana for oil prospecting.
As part of these efforts, he was offered shares in the various consortiums that he brought into the country, which eventually led to the introduction of Kosmos Energy, the company that discovered crude oil in Ghana in commercial quantities, and has resulted in the Jubilee Fields, whose benefits we are all about to enjoy.
For bringing Kosmos into Ghana and serving as the Ghanaian representative, George Owusu and his business partner were offered 3.5 percent shares in the 90% belonging to Kosmos Energy in the agreement between Ghana and the international contractors. GNPC and the government of Ghana hold the remaining ten percent.
It was through the efforts of Kosmos and George Owusu that Ghana eventually, after nearly two hundred years and after the sinking of over one hundred oil wells, that Ghana discovered oil, in commercial quantities!
In terms of years, Owusu and his partners had spent close to six years following up on the dream of oil discovery in Ghana. They had spent tens of millions of dollars. They had sweated blood, and for their reward, they had received a stake in Ghana’s oil.
That was the state of affairs when President Professor John Evans Atta Mills assumed the mantle of power in this country on January 7, 2009. Soon after President Atta Mills and his NDC took over, news began to emerge that Mills and his people were hounding George Owusu.
The NDC was indeed hounding George Owusu. As I write this piece, this person, through whose singular efforts we discovered oil in this country, has had his bank accounts seized. He has had his house raided by BNI thugs.
He has hard his privacy abused, and it is a fact that the Attorney General is currently contemplating hitting him with at least twenty-five spuriously contrived charges!
Mills is indeed a wicked man, for other reasons. When George Owusu was scouring the world looking for investors to come into Ghana to prospect for oil, one of the nations he went to was the communist state of China. He approached one of the biggest Chinese oil companies to partner him prospect for oil. The Chinese were not interested.
Today, after making the situation so uncomfortable for Kosmos Energy, President Atta Mills and his government are waiting for Kosmos to go so that they can seize and sell their shares to the same Chinese people who refused to come to Ghana to prospect for the oil.
Mills is a wicked person, because his interventions in the oil sector, and that of his associates, have the real potential of undermining developments towards bringing the oil to the surface so that this nation can benefit.
I am saying that the antics of Mills and people like Tsarist Tsikata have a direct bearing on whether this nation would get the oil to sell in time to reap the benefits that we are all waiting so breathlessly for.
But Mills is willing to put all of our hopes on the burner, just so he can score political points, because in his tiny pea-brain, he believes that his predecessor, John Kufuor, is the man behind George Owusu.
When you see Mills, remember one clear fact; he
is a man who endorses evil for his own political ends.

Gbevlo’s Evil …..
Akufo Addo’s Land Cruiser Rots At National Security!
It’s getting onto a year now that a Toyota Land Cruiser belonging to Nana Akufo-Addo, flag-bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2008 elections was snatched from his driver.
With February coming quickly to an end, we would enter March, the month in which, in 2009, agents from National Security seized the vehicle. As off yesterday, it was still rotting at the Blue Gate in Accra, where it was parked after the seizure.
Nana Addo’s vehicle with registration number GE 1466 Z car was snatched when he was outside the country for holidays following the heated campaign in the 2008 electioneering campaign by a posse of persons who claimed they were National Security operatives.
A driver of Nana Addo, whose name was given as Joe, was said to have taken the vehicle to Opera Square in Accra when on his way back the men approached him and demanded the keys to the car.
The operatives claimed they were acting on instructions from above and are said to have driven the car to the Osu Castle, the official seat of government.
Even though the driver told them it was not a state vehicle and is privately owned vehicle by Nana Akufo-Addo and showed insurance documentation on the vehicle that had Nana Akufo-Addo's name in it, they still took it away.
The operatives after seizing the vehicle called-in fully armed policemen and they had all manner of confrontations with this driver and retrieved the vehicle from the driver to the Castle.
Almost a year on, the car is still parked at the National Secretariat popularly call Blue Gate and nobody knows whether the National Security Coordinator, Lt. Col Gbevlo Lartey, is going to add it to his fleet of vehicles or probably give it to the “VEHICLES GRABBING” syndicate at the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).
It would be recalled that when the Mills administration took over, it attracted an avalanche of criticism over the confiscation of vehicles in the street suspected to be state assets.
Many former ex-government functionaries are said to have suffered the blow of the embarrassment with some forced to pick taxis back home.
At least, son of former President Kufuor, Chief Kufuor, the Managing Director of Barclays Bank and a former deputy minister under the Kufuor administration became victims of it.

WE SET TWO OF THE FIRES!
…Claims Shadowy Group!
A shadowy group describing itself as the Peoples Liberation Movement (PLM) has accepted responsibility for setting two of the fires that recently rocked this country.
In a text message sent to one of the mobile numbers of our Managing Editor, the PLM also claimed that it had also placed gallons of petrol and a bomb at various public places (names withheld for security reasons). The group, which creates the impression that it is not based in Ghana, however warned the National Security set-up in Ghana, which it described as weak, that it would cause certain named airlines (again names withheld for security reasons) to experience crashes if their demands are not met.
(Below, with large portions blacked out, is the text message);
WE THE “PEOPLES LIBERATION MOVEMENT” (PLM) ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR TWO OF THE FIRE OUTBREAKS IN GHANA. WE ARE IN GHANA TO WARN THE NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL. WELL, COMB AROUND XXXXXX ASHANTI REGION. YOU FIND A GALLON OF PETROL EACH. WE ARE GOING TO SPARE YOUR OFFICES FOR NOW, BUT AN XXXXXXX AIR, XXXXXXX AND XXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXLINE MUST BE READY FOR PLANE CRASH IF IN A WEEK’S TIME FROM NOW NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL DOES NOT PAY COMPENSATION AND PENALTY TO OUR GHANAIAN BROTHERS AND SISTERS WHO ARE SUFFERING FROM UNLAWFUL DISMISSAL. ITS NOT A JOKE. WE ARE READY AND PREPARED TO TURN YOUR SMALL COUNTRY UPSIDE DOWN. WE WILL COME BACK FOR THE NEXT OPERATION. WE ARE GOING TO DO YOUR WEAK SECURITY ANOTHER FAVOUR. COMB AROUND XXXXX XXXXXX (XXXX) FOR BOMBS. LONG LIVE PEOPLES LIBERATYION MOVEMENT (PLM).

All Hail Raymond Archer But…..
Reading the Enquirer of Wednesday 17th February, 2009, I could not help but start laughing. The story was captioned “Journalist Paid 15BN for Guard Dog Duty”.
It is a fact that many journalists were in bed with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and some are still in bed with this current administration.
The Enquirer newspaper put it out that an audit report had revealed that some journalists, serial callers and defenders of the then government (NPP) had benefited from some free cash at the Ministry of Information.
I want to praise Raymond Archer or he would say there was no by-line so he won’t take the credit.
His interview on Radio Gold was funny and I say funny because he claims journalists have betrayed the citizenry because they have taken monies from the government of the day.
Raymond Archer’s friends, I mean his new found and old ones have betrayed the citizenry for a long time and he should tell them to stop it.
Another point that intrigues me is that the Enquirer newspaper said that some journalists were paid to act as guard dogs for the NPP government.
In the run to the 2007 NPP flagbearership race, Archer’s paper came out on a day that it was not expected and am asking whether I can conclude that he was doing a guard dog duty for that candidate?
I want to ask an interesting question; since January 2009, what has been the job description of Mr. Archer and my friends at the Enquirer?
To be frank, they have been acting as guard dogs for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) headed by John Evans Atta Mills.
One of his friends is a senior journalist whose specialty is strategizing with President Atta Mills on policies and even giving him tutorials on the answers to give when he met the press earlier this year.
This journalist is the same person Raymond Archer now claims is his new found friend and if I may ask when Raymond Archer visited his offices one fine Friday afternoon with envelopes full of cash in his pockets, were they from his own pockets or another source?
This journalist had to clear himself and make the new government believe that he was not on the National Security payroll under the NPP to get some favour.
I also want to know if Raymond Archer is now off the National Security payroll, I say this because he could not muster courage when he was dared by a colleague he worked with at the Chronicle to publish the list of journalists on the payroll. I am waiting very enthusiastically for that list.
Indeed, the likes of Archer and KP have solidly regrouped around President Atta Mills, to the extent that their take on all comers who criticize the NDC, leads one to only one conclusion; they are guard dogs of the ruling NDC.
Are the likes of Raymond Archer and KP and ….. getting paid to do the ax jobs for Atta Mills?
For KP I can say one thing, anything that belongs to him was a gift from a love one and the gifts ranges from his wife, kids, cars, printing press and so on.
If you recall, on the day that Francis Poku’s house was evaded by Police, three persons were in his house and one of them was the first person to call Peace Fm to break the news.
One of the three persons is a minister now and other just got on radio to hit hard at Jerry Rawlings following his long absence whilst the other continues to enjoy the support of a foreign mission in our country.
What were they doing there as early as 6:30 am in the morning? Did they go there to greet him or it was a norm for the three to go and greet the former National Security Coordinator daily?
What about the presenters who go and collect monies and refuse to sign against their names and the drunks who say boastfully in chop bars that they are on the National Security payroll.
It is therefore not surprising that when the recipient of the VULTURE AWARD was shown a document at National Security that showed that some of his colleagues benefited under President Kufour, it caused him to go into fanatical confessions like a born again Christian.
NB: Those using my email address and facebook account for stupid things should please stop.
